About Team GIFT 2012Patrick Leys has been in the music business for over 22 years. His experience ranges from creative music artist and disc jockey to entertainment marketing and promotions. He has had the experience of performing in front of thousands of people such as Club “DE” Cazadores in January and June 1999, where he developed the skill of controlling and feeding a crowds emotion’s and desires. He is very knowledgeable in DJing the hottest records in both old and new genres as well as freestyle battling/competing against five other DJ’s. Patrick really put himself out there and it was his stable weekly gig at South Fork/Mad House in May 1999 that he began to make a name for himself and his fan base began to grow. This opportunity opened new doors to his first live performance as an artist at V.I.P in November 1999. A few producers approached him with interest in his talent which motivated him to build a strong team and record label, ONE Records. Pushing this new company and making a name for its self, they used strong promotions to get the word out there and build their contacts. Shortly connections were made with artists like Wycelf, Mr. Cheeks, The Marley Family, DMX, Baby from Cash Money and so on, which led to the performance at the Bob Marley Fest in February 2005 at Bayfront Park. This led to many more events such as: the DJ Epps Birthday Bash at formally known as Zeno’s Best 2005 with Mr. Cheeks of the Lost Boyz, Chicago performance at the downtown Hilton Hotel, the RapVibe Summit in August 2004, Club Dream on South Beach July 2004. In 2005 Patrick began working in the promotions field as a street promoter where he promoted the Red-Light District Tour of April 23, 2005 in Tampa with featured artists Ludacris, Juvenile, Proof from D-12 and Big Gov. This new experience pushed Patrick to want to do his own event promotions rather then working with other promoters. With this new endeavor, Patrick quickly found out the meaning of “It’s not as easy as it may look.” Patrick had access to a new hot spot, Club Bayside Hut, which he planned on having a Fashion Party on June 9, 2005, with performers from Miami and Detroit. As his first event he had a total of 106 guests, which was good but knew the lack of promotion was the cause of the not so big turn out. Taking this into account, he reevaluated his plan and execution to better next and first GIFT event on December 2005, which was more successful with 300 guests at the club Goodfellas in Miami. This experience taught him to analyze each of his event’s planning, execution and outcome to better his next event. In the year 2006 his mind was set to take over the entertainment world and wanted to learn and grow in this industry. With different big connections in LA for movies with Jean-Claude to summers in New York working with promoters and learning about the night life and party scene, he was able to bring that knowledge back with him in Miami and apply it to his projects and event. With that came many very successful events, his first Car Show in December at the Wheels Outlet, the second GIFT event in 2007, a Madden 07 tournament, Mr. Cheeks Birthday Bash with approximately 800 guests, spring break Phansty party in Fort Lauderdale with live performance featuring reggae artist Tami Chin, DJing on the radio for Blaze 107.1, President Obama election night party at Kafe Krystal, and then his most successful parties to date, the third GIFT event with 1,204 guests and the fourth GIFT event with over 2,000 guests and over $10,500 for Toys For Tots. With all his successful events, fans constantly were contacting him for information for his next event, which sparked the new idea for a promotional website. The website, www.keepdapartygoing.com went up on April 25 2009. From there promoters, club owners began requesting for their event coverage on the site (event promotion, event pictures and etc.). From our first events coverage of Memorial Day 2009 weekend with 23 parties, our site hits went up 151,826 and by July 226,530 hits to over all 1 million hits a month in 2011 (keepdapartygoing.com) Our MySpace friends went up to over 4,000 in one month, 2,000 followers on twitter @GIFT_2012 and more then 6,000 fans for our FaceBook page. (facebook.com/teamGIFT2012) Patrick Leys lives by “Success is a Must and Sleep is Forbidden.” He is always willing to work hard for something that he believes in. No matter what people say, he may be the hardest person to work with but the BEST person to work with. If he falls, he will find the reason for his fall to ensure he doesn’t make that same fall again. He has seen the ups and downs and knows what it takes, and expects nothing less then the best. It’s a continuous growth in this industry. You work hard to make it, then you have to work FollowersTeam gift 2012's Friends
